Agenda - Accessibility/Usability of IT Coordinating Group (Coordinating Group)

  1. Agenda Review
     
  2. New co-chairs: Joyce and Todd!
    Action:
    • Need to check in with sponsors to make sure we are producing what they want.
    • Need to do a report to the sponsors, supposed to be quarterly.
    • For future agenda:
      • Diversity is closely related to accessibility. 
      • Don't want to lose connection to Usability
         
  3. Review results of previous meeting

  4. Teaching and Learning Symposium – May 19-20.

    Action:
    • Matt will make a google docs signup sheet
    • Otherwise, all set
       
  5. Organization of web accessibility guidelines and supporting material

  6. Report to the sponsors

    • At a high level, what are our greatest needs, as a team, or as a campus, that the sponsors might be able to address?

  7. Content Management Templates. Progress check.
    Action:
    • Evaluators should send their results to Gary, who will add them to the spreadsheet.
    • Todd and Joyce will work on those remaining

Future agenda items: (in no particular order)

  • Follow up with Garrett, re: 4/17 meeting (suggested at May 1, 2014 meeting)
  • Accessibility and Diversity: related (suggested at May 1, 2014 meeting)
  • Plan on FAE 2.0 site crawling demo for next meeting (suggested at May 1, 2014 meeting)
  • Proposal on how to organize future accessibility events. See: email exchange on the topic. 
  •   Discuss how to proceed further with OSU document.
  • Brainstorm "Resources to help developers and content providers to incorporate accesssibility into their existing processes"  
  • How to start approaching "mobile" accessibility. Invite Dave Schroeder to attend for that discussion.
  • Go over the implications of the new Wisconsin law on accessibile educational materials in higher education.
